Lora Simmons

Lora was born and raised right here in Bermuda. She has worked at Ettrick Animal Hospital for the past 4 years as a member of our valued front desk team. Lora previously worked as an advisor in a health food and wellness store, a subject she is very passionate about. As much as she enjoyed this job, she had always felt drawn to working with animals so when the opportunity arose, she jumped at the chance! Lora enjoys building relationships with our clients and their pets. A busy phone line and reception area can be stressful at times, but Lora enjoys the challenge. She has also recently taken on the responsibility of ensuring our very large pet food supply is kept stocked. Outside of work, Lora enjoys archery and golf as well as going for long walks with her family and her 11 year old lively Jack Russell, Gingersnap

Alexandra Mellor

Alexandra was born in Bermuda and has been a valued member of the Front desk team for 4 years. Before joining Ettrick, Alexandra worked as a beauty therapist for 11 years. A job that she enjoyed and took great pride in. Animals have always been a big part of Alexandra’s life, so when a vacancy at Ettrick became available, she knew she had to apply. The role can often be busy and challenging but Alexandra enjoys ensuring clients receive excellent customer service and she takes pride in knowing every client and animal by name. Although she was born in Bermuda, Alexandra has also lived in the UK and Canada where she had the opportunity to be part of the competitive horseback riding community. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys running, diving and paddle boarding as well as spending time with her loveable Staffordshire terrier, Paisley.

Tiffani Augustus

Tiffani is a Bermudian and is one of our newest members of staff having joined Ettrick in January 2020 as a member of our valued front desk team. Before joining Ettrick, Tiffani worked for 12yrs at DHL in a number of different roles. Tiffani has always had a love for animals and was lucky to grow up on a farm. As a teenager she volunteered at the SPCA and dreamed of studying veterinary medicine in Australia. This may not have happened, but Tiffani was very excited to join Ettrick and finally work with animals and although her main duties are client care, she takes every opportunity to assist the nurses and vets with basic animal care. Tiffani loves that there is always something new and exciting happening at Ettrick and that there is never a quiet day.
When Tiffani is not at the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her animals. Yuka a 9month old American Staffordshire and Lucky a 4month old kitten. She also enjoys dancing, reading, writing poetry and spending time with family.

Cheryl Adcock

Client Accounts

Cheryl is Bermudian and began working at Ettrick in 1989 when it was a small, one vet practice and under different ownership. When Dr Andrew Madeiros purchased the hospital in 2000, as a valuable member of staff, Cheryl decided to stay. She has worked in various roles including reception, kennels and nursing. She then took on the role of client accounts over 20 years ago. Cheryl works from her home office and assists the practice manager in ensuring that all client accounts are maintained to a high standard. Although she may work from her home office, Cheryl greatly enjoys getting to know clients and their animals and although she may not see them on a regular basis, she knows all clients and their pets by name. When she is not at work, Cheryl enjoys travelling, gardening and spending time with her nieces and nephews. At home Cheryl and her husband have a busy home with two dogs, two cats, a chicken and a 26 year old cockatiel that she hand reared from 3 days old.
